Romania

OK, I know romania was not on the list of first targets but I had to log something - and I will do whenever I fail with the targets.. so.. 23:20 z 6115kHz SINPO 34333 250kW from Galbeni 7105kHz SINPO 24232 250kW from Tiganesti Ann: 'This is Radio Romania International', a portion of music then a piece about easter in Romanaia followed by an Easter Recipie. Angola

Angolan radio is in English from 21:00z to 22:00z on 7217kHz with a power of 15kW. That signal should reach the UK but China Radio International on 7215kHz with 150kW from Albania in Arabic is going to make things difficult. We will try tomorrow, I think I will need a better antenna :-)

Afghanistan

Only one station broadcasts from this war torn country at present and that is RADIO SOLH (or Radio Peace) and this station broadcasts from Bagram Air Base from 00:30z to 19:30z on 6700kHz with a power of 1kW. With this being the only station on this frequency there is a chance we may hear it; the following is a VOACAP chart for the path between me and Kabul... The best chance appears between 17:00z and 19:30z closedown... we shall see...
